Filling Out Your Bracket

  • Click on the team you think will win each matchup
  • The winner automatically advances to the next round
  • Work your way through: Round of 64 → Round of 32 → Sweet 16 → Elite 8 → Final Four → Championship
  • If you change your mind on an earlier pick, go ahead — the bracket will automatically clear any downstream picks that were affected
  • Your picks save automatically as you go. No save button needed.
  • You can fill out your bracket in multiple sessions — come back anytime and your picks will be right where you left them

Multiple Brackets

You can create up to 3 brackets per person. Click "+ New Bracket" at the top of the bracket page to create additional ones. Use the dropdown to switch between them.

Don't Know Basketball?

That's totally fine! Pick your favorite mascots, team colors, or flip a coin. Some of the best brackets come from people who know nothing about basketball. Half the fun is the chaos.

Deadline

Thursday, March 19 at 11:00 AM CT

After this, brackets lock and no changes can be made. If your bracket isn't complete by the deadline, only the picks you've made will count — empty matchups score zero.

Scoring

Each correct pick earns points. Later rounds are worth significantly more, so a lucky Final Four pick can vault you up the leaderboard overnight.

RoundPoints Per Correct Pick
Round of 6410 pts
Round of 3220 pts
Sweet 1640 pts
Elite 880 pts
Final Four160 pts
Championship320 pts

Maximum possible score: 1,920 points (if you pick every single game correctly — good luck with that).

Tiebreaker: If two players end up with the same score, the tiebreaker is the total combined points scored in the championship game.

FAQ

Do I have to play?

Nope, totally optional. But you'll be missing out.

Do I need to know about basketball?

Not at all. Some of the best brackets come from people who pick based on team colors and mascots. Seriously.

Can I change my picks after I make them?

Yes! You can change any pick as many times as you want right up until the Thursday 11 AM CT deadline. After that, everything locks.

What if I don't finish my bracket in time?

Whatever picks you've made will count. Empty matchups just won't earn any points.

Can I fill it out on my phone?

Yes. The site is fully mobile friendly.

I invited a family member but they didn't get the email.

Have them check their spam/junk folder. The email comes from Growthland. If they still can't find it, go to march.growthland.com/login, choose "Returning Player," and request a new link.

How do I see other people's brackets?

After brackets lock on Thursday, go to the Leaderboard and click on anyone's name to view their picks.

What's the tiebreaker?

If two players end up with the same total score, the tiebreaker is whoever predicted the closest total combined points in the championship game.
